The Shenyang-Baihe High Speed Railway, China’s easternmost high-speed passenger corridor in a high-altitude cold region, delivered outstanding performance during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush. Data show that the line handled an average of 24,000 passengers per day during the period. To cope with sustained high passenger demand, railway authorities operated up to 71 EMU trains along the line during peak periods, including 10 additional temporary trains. Measures such as double-heading operations effectively expanded transport capacity and ensured smooth passenger travel.

　　As a newly opened line, its strong spillover effect has been particularly evident in ice and snow tourism. Passenger volume to Changbaishan Railway Station via the line increased by 30% to 40% year-on-year, with as many as 62% of travelers choosing high-speed railway services. During this year’s Spring Festival, the maximum daily passenger throughput at Changbaishanxi Railway Station exceeded 7,600, while visitor numbers in Songjianghe town, where the station is located, far surpassed previous years.
